Needle felting.

Tiny Rabbit Necklace - needle felted

Materials: wool, wire, thread, beads, nylon cord

"This one is sculpted using the process of needle felting...forming wool using
large barbed needles. He has embroidered features and black glass bead eyes.
He is about 2 inches from head to rump, plus the ears.
All the wool for my creations was raised on our small family farm in the hills
of West Virginia. To find out more about felting, and to see previously made
creations, please see my website at www.motleymutton.com
Thanks for looking, please check back frequently! Nancy"

Wikipedia
Needle felting is a popular fibre arts craft that creates felt without the use of water.
Special needles that are used in industrial felting machines are used by the artist as
a sculpting tool. While erroneously referred to as "barbed" needles, they in fact have
notches along the shaft of the needle that grab the top layer of fibres and tangle them
with the inner layers of fibres as the needle enters the wool. Since these notches
face down towards the tip of the needle, they do not pull the fibres out as the needle
exits the wool. Once tangled and compressed using the needle, the felt can be strong
and used for creating jewelry or sculpture. Using a single needle or a small group of
needles (2-5) in a hand-held tool, fine details can be achieved using this technique,
and it is popular for 2D and 3D felted work.

Get a grip ,woman

“For God’s sake, get a grip, woman. Don’t you know
how lucky you are? You have zero right to be unhappy.
Thousands are being murdered in Syria and you can’t
even get out of bed, you self-indulgent cow.
What happened to that fitness regime you promised
you’d start, eh? No self-control, that’s your problem.
And you haven’t replied to Jane’s texts. Jane must think
you’re a crap friend. And she’s right. It’s a miracle
you’ve got any friends left. Get up!
You’ve got a to-do list which stretches from here
to Loch Lomond.Pack the boy’s bag for camp,
check Twitter. The plants on the patio are dying
in their polystyrene coffins because you haven’t had
time to put them in pots. Poor plants must hate you.
Better check those watched eBay items. You don’t want
to miss out on that incredible vintage (aka old, smelly
and broken) deckchair, which is going to transform
your life and usher in a new era of relaxation.
Oh, dear God.I’m supposed to have handed in my review
of Ruby Wax’s book to the paper. Gah! What are you
going to tell them, eh? ‘Sorry, I was too depressed to
review the book about depression?’”
